Lucas Architects have been invited in collaboration with Urban Synthesis for a new school complex Zigong Kindergarten located in the Ziliujing District of Zigong City.

The project includes the provision of a new Kindergarten, in addition to Class bases, Sports and Dining facilities are provided along with outdoor play and sports spaces. The design is also driven by the idea of creating indoor/outdoor play areas and the site is located next to Zigong Lantern Park. The design of the facade is related to the form and production process of lantern making.

The design has been developed to work with the existing landscape and is sensitively positioned along the existing contours.
